白糠町には釧路管区唯一の
ダムがあります。
その名は庶路ダム。
ダム湖は「Green Lake 庶路」という名前です。
阿寒富士に水源を持つ
庶路川の治水と水質管理、
下流の釧白工業団地の工業用水確保を
目的に建造されたそうです。
※豆知識①
「庶路」の語源は、アイヌ語で
「滝に向かっている道」
と伝えられているそうです。
素敵。
海や湖など、水辺大好きな私としては、
ここはお気に入りのドライブスポットです。
庶路ダムへの道は途中から一本道のため、
方向音痴の私でもわかりやすいです。
初めて訪れたとき唯一心配だったのは、
ダム手前4Kmくらいは1車線ということ。
しかし、びびりドライバーの私でも
安心できるくらいこまめに待避スペースがあり、
案内板でもわかりやすく表示されていました。
しばらく待避スペースがない区間は
見晴らしがきいているので、
普通に安全運転で走れば
問題ないと思います。
（雪の季節はさらに安全運転で！）
ダムの事務所前には５台分の
無料駐車場があります。
事務所には展示室とトイレがあり、
午前９時から正午まで使用可能とのことです。
※豆知識②
土日に上記時間内に行ったときは
開いていなかったので、
週末ドライブの際は、
先にどこかでトイレを済ませておいた方が
安全かもしれません。
夏は霧に包まれる日も多い白糠。
9月になると、きれいに空が澄み渡る日が
多くなります。
また、気温も20℃前後となり、
近づく秋の気配を肌で感じます。
10月には毎年
ウオーキングイベントが開催されています。
私もエントリーしました。
これを書いているのが9月中旬なので、
あと1か月ですね。
紅葉がきれいだと聞いているので、
とても楽しみです。
イベントでは、ダムをぐるっと一周する
13.2kmのAコースと、
これに林道の数kmをプラスした
16.8kmのBコースがあります。
Bコースはなかなかハードな
のぼり坂があるとのことで、
体力・脚力自慢の方々に人気だそうです。
庶路川はニジマス、アメマス、ヤマメなどが
釣れるとのことで、
ダム湖側・庶路川側いずれも、
ときおり釣り人の姿を見かけます。
実は庶路川は、シーズンになると
多くの釣り人でにぎわう
“知る人ぞ知る聖地”なのだとか。
私は海釣りしかやったことがありませんが、
のんびり自然と戯れながら、
釣りを楽しんでいる様子をみると、
川釣りもいいなぁって思います。

Green Lake Shoro
Shiranuka has the only dam in Kushiro.
Its name is Shoro Dam.
The dam lake is named Green Lake Shoro.
The reason why this dam was built is because of the flood control and water quality management of the Shoro River, which has a water source in Akan Fuji.
It is said that it was built for the purpose of securing industrial water
in the Senpaku industrial park downstream.

This is wonderful.
As for me who love the water side such as the sea and the lake,
there is my favorite drive spot.
There is a free parking lot for 5 cars in front of the dam's office.
The office has an exhibition room and toilet, and it is available from 9 a.m. to noon.

It was not open when I went within the above time on Saturday and Sunday.
So when you drove on weekends,it might be safer to finish the restroom somewhere first.
In summer, there are many days when it is shrouded in fog.
In September, there are many days that the clear sky spreads out.
And the temperature is around 20°C, I can feel the sign of autumn
approaching with my skin.
In October, there is an annual walking event.
I also entered.
I'm writing this in the middle of September, so it's another month.
I've heard that the autumn leaves are beautiful,
so I'm really looking forward to it.
Shoro river is said to be able to catch rainbow trout, amemas, yamame, etc.
I sometimes see anglers on the side of the dam lake and on the river.
In fact, the Shoro River is crowded with many anglers during the season.
It is said that it is a sacred place of the river fishing.
I've only done sea fishing.
Looking at the way he enjoys fishing while playing with nature leisurely,
I think that the river fishing is good, too.
