白糠町の図書館には、
さまざまなスキルを持った方たちが
働いています。
Yさんもそのおひとり。
お勤めしていた林野庁関係機関を
定年退職後、現在は白糠町図書館でご勤務。
警備、蔵書管理・各種メンテナンスなど
幅広い業務をもって、
図書館運営を支えてくれています。
実はYさん、手先がとっても器用なのです。
これらの切り絵は
Yさんの手による作品です。
ここでは紹介しきれませんが、
たくさんステキな作品を作っています。

Yさんの作品は釧路新聞など
さまざまなメディアにも取り上げられたことがあり、
町の総合文化祭にも出展されています。
今年も総合文化祭に出展されるそうなので、

実はこの掲載、ご本人の説得が必要でした。
「この図書館にはたくさんのボランティアさんが毎日来てくれてるんだ」
「ボランティアさんがいないと、この図書館はまわらないんだよ」
「みんな俺なんかより頑張ってくれてるんだ。だからその人たちを紹介してよ」と。
もちろんほかの皆様もご紹介予定です。
でも、ほかの皆様もYさん同様とってもシャイ。
なかなか登場OKしてくれないのを存じているので、
まずはYさんに登場いただき、
「あのYさんも出てくれたので、ぜひ」
という作戦です（笑）
Yさんの作品を見たことをきっかけに、
切り絵を始める方もいらっしゃるとのこと。
「俺はなんもえらいもんじゃないけどさ、自分の活動をきっかけに
町の人が新しい楽しみを見つけてくれればうれしいね」と語ります。
機材はすべて100円ショップで購入できるものだそうです。
この秋、新しい趣味を初めてみるのはいかがですか？

People with various skills work in the library in Shiranuka town.
Mr.Y is one of them.
After retiring from the Forestry Agency related organization where he worked,
now he works at the Shiranuka Library.
With a wide range of operations such as security,
collection management and various maintenance.
It supports library management.
Actually, Mr. Y is very dexterous.
These cutouts are made by Mr. Y .
I haven't been able to introduce it yet, but I make a lot of wonderful works.
Actually, this posting required the persuasion of the person.
“A lot of volunteers come to this library every day.”
“If you do n’t have volunteers, you wo n’t be able to turn this library.”
“Everyone is working harder than me, so please introduce them.”
Of course, other people will be introduced.
But everyone else is as shy as Mr. Y,

This is my nasty strategy (laughs)
Some people started cutting papers after seeing Mr.Y's work.
"I'm not a great person, but someone started with my activities.
I'm glad that the people in the town find new fun. "
It seems that all equipment can be purchased at a 100-yen shop.
How about seeing a new hobby for the first time this fall?
